MARTIN LUTHER KING JR. CENTER
(PASCO YMCA)
If walls could talk at the Pasco YMCA at the Martin Luther King Center, they’d tell tales of thousands of lives gently shaped by the YMCAs character development program. They’d talk of boys becoming men, of girls learning about positive self-esteem, of college visits that set in motion dreams of a brighter future, of passionate pool tournaments, and of bodies transformed in the gym. Most of all, the walls at the Pasco YMCA would be proud to have provided local youth with a safe place to call their own for over 30 years.
The Pasco YMCA offers something for everyone. A weight room for teens and adults, a game room open to all, a gymnasium to develop healthy bodies, a homework center to foster a love of learning, a chance to connect with positive role models, and the opportunity to get involved in programs that foster growth in spirit, mind, and body.
The Pasco YMCA is a collaborative effort between the YMCA and the City of Pasco. The YMCA staffs and operates the center, which is open all year long. We are able to subsidize most programs at the center thanks to community support through contributors to the Annual YMCA Strong Kids Campaign and through the support of the Three Rivers Community Foundation and the City of Pasco.

Membership
Pasco YMCA Membership costs just $10 per year. Activities below are included in membership, unless otherwise indicated. Download the registration form and sign up at the Pasco YMCA.
Weight Room
Help is on hand to assist youth and adults 13 years of age and older in the MLKC weight room. We’re open Monday through Saturday during the school year, and Monday through Friday during the summer. YMCA staff can help put together a workout that fits your needs.
Game Room
Adults and kids have access to a pool table, bumper pool, foosball tables, air hockey tables, ping pong, and a chess and checkers table. In the common area, adult and youth participants at the Pasco YMCA have access to a large screen TV with access to XBOX Kinect active video games.
We offer field trips periodically throughout the year, exposing children to new ideas and places. Past field trips have included trips to Mariner’s baseball games, Silverwood Amusement Park, Seahawks Football Camp Day, movie theaters, fishing trips, car shows, plays and concerts at Columbia Basin College. An additional fee is sometimes required.
Gymnasium
In the gym, boys and girls choose from supervised activities like indoor soccer, basketball, kickball and dodge-ball. Adult recreation is also offered in the gym for both team sports and pick-up games. Basketball or tennis shoes are required to play in the gym. No street shoes are allowed.
Homework Center / Computer Lab
The YMCA Homework Center is an excellent way to make sure your child stays motivated after school. YMCA staff and volunteers provide assistance in all subject areas and grade levels. Kids also enjoy crafts and educational games in the homework center.
