Reflecting on Leadership and Gratitude at Our Annual Board Meeting
By Lacey Cole
As the year draws to a close, we recently gathered for the YMCA of the Greater Tri-Cities Annual Board Meeting. This time together allowed us to reflect on the past year, celebrate our progress, and express gratitude for the leaders who help guide our mission forward.
Our Board of Directors plays a vital role in strengthening the YMCA and ensuring we continue to serve our community with purpose and impact. Board members provide strategic leadership, uphold our mission and values, support long-term planning, and advocate for programs and services that meet the needs of local families. Their dedication helps ensure our YMCA remains a welcoming, trusted, and sustainable resource for our community today and in the years to come.
We would like to extend a heartfelt thank you to Tom Rainey, our outgoing Board President, for his commitment, leadership, and years of service to the YMCA of the Greater Tri-Cities. His guidance has made a lasting impact on our organization and the families we serve. We are also excited to welcome Melissa Ransom as our incoming Board President and look forward to the leadership and vision she brings in the year ahead.
As we enter the holiday season, we are especially grateful for all of our board members who generously give their time, expertise, and heart to support the YMCA mission. Their service reflects the spirit of the season and helps ensure a strong future for our Y and the community we proudly serve.
