Get Involved with the YMCA
Volunteer At Your Local YMCA
Volunteers in the community greatly support the YMCA. Volunteers play an active role on the Board of Trustees, in committees and fundraising, as coaches, at family events and as program support.
Candidates must demonstrate the values caring, honesty, respect and responsibility in their daily lives. Our compensation package includes smiles, learning, growth, fulfillment, and being part of a fantastic organization!
Ready to Volunteer?
If you’d like to get involved, please email us and let us know what program you are interested in volunteering for.
Volunteer Background Checks
If you are interested in volunteering in our School-Age Child Care Department, Camps, or Early Childhood Learning Centers, you must undergo the same background checks and meet the same requirements as a staff person in that department. This is due to Washington State Licensing rules.
Become a YMCA Coach
YMCA of the Greater Tri-Cities is always looking for coaches to help facilitate youth sports and associated events.
The safety of our volunteer coaches, participants and families is our top priority and that is why we are updating the volunteer coach application to include a national background check and child abuse prevention training. Please see below the steps you need to take to be eligible to coach.
