YMCA Trick-or-Treat on the Trail Returns for a Fun, Healthy Halloween Celebration
By Lacey Cole
The YMCA of the Greater Tri-Cities invites families to join the annual Trick-or-Treat on the Trail on Saturday, October 25, 2025, at Badger Mountain and Trailhead Park in Richland. This fun, free, family event puts a healthy spin on Halloween with non-candy treats, games, and outdoor adventure.
Families can hike the trail and collect non-candy goodies at 12 stops. The first 200 registered kids receive a free glow-in-the-dark T-shirt, so early online registration is encouraged. The YMCA will also feature a Harvest Festival at Trailhead Park with pumpkin decorating, face painting, and Halloween themed games—perfect for kids of all ages.

“We’re so glad this event has found a home on the Badger Mountain trails. It’s become a wonderful tradition for our family — we’ve brought our grandson for the past three years. I love seeing both kids and adults in costume and enjoying the creative games. It’s truly a community treasure.” — Sharon Grant, Friends of Badger Mountain
The event is made possible by Central Plateau Cleanup Company, the proud sponsor of Station #1, along with help from community volunteers and YMCA staff.
